Work Par-tay!

We'll be working at the garden site from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM this Saturday, May 29.

Grab your gloves and shovels and come join us in moving soil into the pod structure!!

Welcome to Pine Valley Community Gardens!

We in Pine Valley, California, are surrounded by natural beauty on every side: rock-strewn mountains, purple hills, towering pines, ancient oaks. But gardening in our wind-swept valley presents a significant challenge.

Please consider joining us in the adventure of community gardening! Some Pine Vallians have set aside land for the project and are willing to donate water. Other residents have offered mulch a-plenty. Surplus produce will be funneled to families in need.

So, to start with, we need:

-- know-how
-- strong arms and backs
-- a willingness to research and use earth-friendly gardening methods
-- a plan to discourage the critters from enjoying our harvest before we do
-- lots of community spirit as we work together to make this dream a reality
